Ok, here, I'm going to post all the links to my Pico Day submission work as I make it. Why? Well, because I feel like it.

Q - What if someone steals something?
A - Well I'll have the proof here that I thought of/created/designed it here before anyone else, (excluding Pico and other characters from Pico and Friends) so I'll have a good casing point to Tom or Wade to try and remove the offending submission.

Anyway, on with the Progress.

Basic Plot: 12 months after "Pico Unloaded", Pico is on the run from the police after being linked to the incident, and has now been falsely accused of the school shooting seen in the original Pico game. The movie starts in the middle of nowhere, when Pico catches a bus to some, as of yet, unkown destination. He notices the bus driver looking very worried and on the phone to someone. Pico looks out of the back window, to see a fleet of police cars tailing them. Chaos ensues.
Latest storyboard version: 3/3/08 (Thats D/M/YY, not M/D/YY, like you Americans have it)
Latest outline animation: Waiting for Storyboard to be completed
Latest coloured animation version: Waiting for Storyboard/Outlines to be completed
Latest full colour: Waiting for animation to be coloured
Final Preview: (This will be a trailer) Waiting for Background Colouring/Detail to be added
Submission: Wait until 30th April

Well, today, I got my Options for GSCEs, so I can now pick the subjects that will dictate (potentially) the rest of my life. I have the Half-Term to think it over, so that gives me time. I've e-mailed several animation companies in the UK to see if they had advice for what GSCEs could get me into the animation biz (where (hopefully) they'd use flash) and set me off in the direction I want to go. Only one animation company has turned up so far near enough for me to think of work experience there, but that's a whole year away yet.
Hopefully I'll start to get replies from the various companies over the next week so I can have made a good choice by the time that I go back to school.

So far, my Top 3 picks are: Media Studies, Graphics and Music. The first two, I'm hoping, will get me into animation, and the third, well, I really really really really really reeeaally want to do (please let me get it!) because I love music (I find it hard to imagine not having any of the music I listen to), plus it gives me a back up plan to fall back on should I need it.
Well, sorry if I bored anyone, congratulations if you actually read (and cared (genuinely)) about any of that. An e-cookie should materialise in the e-stomachs of anyone that managed that.

Our flash forum page is spam-full of collabs, and I think it's about time someone tried to do something about it! So, to help reduce the number of collabs which will ultimatley fail getting started in the first place, I'm starting this petition to raise the Batting Average needed to start a collab on our forum from 3 to 3.5!
To sign the petition, just comment and say "Add me!", and I'll put your name on the list.

Latest update on my Shortened Shakespeare flash:

Ok, I'm studying "The Tempest" in school, and looking at the story, it seemed really hard to cut down, so unfortunatley for those who like 'em short, this one's going to be over a minute long.
I'm currently 21.2 seconds in, or 383/1842 frames. I'll be interested to see if anyone can work out what FPS I'm working at (e-cookie to the first one that does).

Shortened Shakespeare: The whole point of the Shortened Shakespeare flash is to re-tell the classic plays of William Shakespeare in as little time as possible, while keeping it recognisable. Check out the 3 that are currently in the portal - Julius Caeser, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet. Enjoy!

Update: Shortened Shakespeare Series

Posted by Timsplosion - October 28th, 2007

Ok, some people might know, but most probably won't, but I've started making a series of flash which involves taking the plays of William Shakespeare, and reducing them to less than a minute. Here are the Shortened Shakespeare flash so far:

Julius Caeser
Macbeth
Romeo and Juliet
The Tempest - full version
The Tempest - bad version

And here are the one's that I'm currently making/planning:

Othello (release date 23rd March)
Hamlet (sound recorded)
A Midsummer Nights Dream (planning)

All the ones after Romeo and Juliet could take a while longer to make, as I'm going back to school tomorrow after a week off.

Yeh, so I've got a week off school, which is really good. But the problem is, what the heck am I gonna do with it? I think I'm going to Wicksteed Park tomorrow (theme park in a town near Northampton), but the rest of the holiday is kinda, bland. I've got a few bits and bobs I could do for school, but at the moment that's the last thing I want to think about.

I want to make a flash, but I've got so little inspiration, despite the number of great ideas. I dunno. I don't think I'd make a Halloween flash, I'd probably just try to get away with some 30 second short, with one or two jokes, either that or a serious one. I'm not sure.

I'm hoping to go into town atleast once this week, mabye go down to Abington Park (park near middle of town) on a good day.

I suppose I'm gonna be playing the guitar a lot this week.

Yeh, if anyone's still reading, then well done, I'd be surprised if anyone cared enough to read this far. But, yeah, if you are still reading, then I gotta ask, if you had a week off school, what would you do with it?

Ok, the basic jist of this collab is this: There is a set theme/subject/topic (whatever you want to call it), and those who join have a week to make animation between 10 and 20 seconds long about said topic. When it's done, we submit.

Specs:
FPS - 24
Stage size - Default
Background - White (draw your own)
Unacceptable styles: Siezure, Clock/Lock/Glock, pr KittyKrew. Everything else is fine by me.
Name your library items with the first 3 letters of your username at the beginning. (For example: YhtHead, YhtTween 1, etc)

Rules:
You can only have 1 part but you can make more than one part and then send the best one.
There will only be ten parts in the final submission.
You can join, but do not be offended if you are cut or rejected.
You need two submissions with a score of more than 3.00 to participate in this collab.
If you would like to join, do so BEFORE Thursday 28th September, I will not let anyone in after that date.
You can make your part however you want to. It can be funny, serious, violent (but not too much blood and gore), whatever, as long as we can keep it at 13+.
NO NUDITY.

THIS WEEKS THEME IS "SCHOOL".

Ok? I've already made the menu, so you don't need to worry. When it comes to songs, I'm open to suggestions. But please supply a link to where we can hear the song.

If you need help, add me on MSN: yhtomitstuff@hotmail.co.uk

Have fun!

DEAD END COLLAB TO BE RELEASED TOMORROW!

Posted by Timsplosion - August 29th, 2007

Ok, so sometime in February, I think, I started The Dead End Collab. It uses the My Chemical Romance songs "The End" and "Dead" which I found worked best as one song. So the 31 parts were eventually filled, and most of them are now done and sent. This collab is meant to be in the portal today, although that's starting to look unlrealistic, but hey we'll give it a go.

Here are the many people who have helped bring this collab to life:
Yhtomit
ReNaeNae
pik-man
Shadowii2
mellie-master
Andy-Parker
Prestorock
Volit0
JackBurt
Decade
SirBackUp

IN THE PORTAL VERY SOON.

Yeh, so my birthday's tomorrow. I'm gonna be turning 13, as the title suggests. I'm probably gonna see Transformers. I don't know how many people will actually care, but probably even fewer than the number that will actually read this. Well it's been a year coming, and it's finally here.
: Now I can get a Newgrounds accound, and submit flash. Oh wait.
Look at the stuff I've made. 7 solo flash and 3 collabs, AND I'm running my own collab now as well. How many 12 year olds do you know that could do that? Yeh, so look at my stuff, and try not to stereotipicallise 12 and 13 year olds. Although, ALMOST every 12 and 13 I know is a moron, they can be normal. They just don't see the point.

Anyway, that's the end of me talking about something along the lines of being half way through my last full day of being 12 years old. Now I'll shut up.
